Screening Walls

We build brick and stone screening walls for homeowners, HOAs and businesses, from backyard privacy walls to subdivision perimeters.

How we do it

North Texas clay swells when it's wet and shrinks when it's dry, and a long wall moves with it. We size the footings for the soil and space columns or piers along the run. Control joints go where the wall needs room to move.

We also repair existing screening walls: cracked sections, leaning panels and damaged columns, rebuilt to match what's there.

Questions we hear about screening walls

Why do screening walls crack?

Mostly from soil movement. Expansive clay pushes and pulls on a wall as it gets wet and dries out. Good footings, piers and control joints keep that movement from turning into cracks.

Do you work with HOAs?

Yes. We can provide a written estimate for a board, match the existing wall, and schedule work to keep disruption to residents down.
